An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a full-time a band 3 Receptionist/Administrator to support our Community Mental Health Service.
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with an excellent level of administration, interpersonal and organisational skills. You will need to be computer literate with experience of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be given full training on Rio (Electronic Patient System). The role will be supporting busy reception areas and providing administrative support to senior administrators. You will have a chance to develop your administrative skills through a programme of structured appraisals, support, and development.
As a Receptionist/Administrator you will be the first point of contact for patient calling and coming into the department. Experience of working within the NHS or in a healthcare setting in an administrative role is desirable but not essential. Excellent IT and communication skills are required along with the ability to be flexible to the changing demands of the service and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.

The postholder will need to be comfortable working in an environment of complex matrix management arrangements and will at all times behave and align with our Trusts’ values and cultural pillars
i) To provide a full range of high-quality administrative support to the Community Mental Health team
ii) To ensure accuracy of data recorded on the Trust EPR, as well as any local information assets.
iii) Accurately type correspondence and complex reports, summaries and other documents, both clinical and general, using audio and copy typing.
iv) To implement relevant high-quality office systems and exploit the use of IT, in conjunction with the team manager and in liaison with the administration manager as appropriate.
v) To accurately maintain all relevant service user data systems in a timely manner in accordance with Trust and local standards.
vi) To manage diaries of allocated managers/professionals appropriately.
vii) To use initiative appropriately to deal with and prioritise post and telephone calls.
viii) To deal with all administrative duties to support the operation of the service line.
