Justteachers are recruiting for a full-time temporary Learning Support Assistant to start in September 2026 at a specialist SEND school in Cambridge supporting pupils aged 5-19 with a range of additional learning needs.
This well-established specialist setting delivers a highly personalised curriculum designed to help pupils achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe and supportive environment where learners are encouraged to develop confidence and independence.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide classroom support and work closely with teachers to ensure pupils can access learning opportunities and make meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils during lessons and learning activities.
Deliver one-to-one and small-group support.
Encourage pupil engagement and participation.
Assist with communication and social development.
Support individual learning plans and interventions.
Promote independence and confidence.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff.
Contribute to pupil wellbeing and safeguarding.
Pre-requisites:
Experience working with children or young people.
SEND experience desirable.
Positive and nurturing approach.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to provide two professional references covering the last two years of employment, education or training.

Pay: £95.00-£115.00 per day
