Accounts Assistant

About the Role
You will be working as part of the accounts team at our head office in Norwich. Supporting the finance department by managing day-to-day transactional accounting. Maintaining financial records, process invoices, handle expense claims, and perform bank reconciliations to ensure the company's financial operations run smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Reconcile Insurer statements & process payments
- Processing, coding and reviewing Invoices.
- Processing supplier payments.
- Process clients’ payments.
- Posting & reconciling customer receipts.
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Working to deadlines.
- Dealing with queries internal & externally.
- Support the accounts team by managing day to day functions.
- Processing expenses claims
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who has strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy but also brings a proactive and positive approach to their work.
What you’ll bring
- A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Confident communication skills across all levels of the business.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Sage 200 (desirable).
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Qualifications
- GCSES in Maths & English grade 6 or above
