Job Summary
We have an opportunity at our Romsey Removals Branch for an experienced LGV2 Driver who has worked in the Removals and Storage industry.
We shall be seeking an individual with completed CPC Driver Training. As a member of a closely-knit team, the successful candidate will also be required to pack, wrap and move furniture and effects. Physical fitness is important as heavy lifting is required on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate LG2 category vehicles for local and regional removals
- Pack, load and unload furniture and household items with care, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Communicate clearly with customers
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies
- Assist with warehouse and yard duties as needed
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably within removals or logistics sectors
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving environments with knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently under pressure
