About Us
The Primary Care Alliance CIC is a GP-led organisation delivering services on behalf of local practices and NHS partners across Berkshire West.
We provide a growing range of services including Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Prevention, Lipid Optimisation, Urgent Care, Same Day Access and Neighbourhood Health programmes.
As our services continue to expand, we are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our clinical teams and help us deliver high-quality care closer to home.
The Role
This is a varied role working across a number of community-based clinics and services.
You will support clinicians in delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care whilst helping ensure clinics run efficiently and smoothly.
Depending on experience and training, duties may include:
- Chaperoning during examinations and procedures
- Preparing clinical rooms and equipment
- Recording observations including blood pressure, height and weight
- Supporting cardiovascular prevention clinics
- AF screening and health checks
- Phlebotomy (where trained)
- Supporting Women’s Health clinics
- Stock management and ordering
- Supporting patient flow and clinic administration
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Working closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other clinicians
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in primary care, community services, urgent care or a similar healthcare setting
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexible and proactive approach
Desirable:
- Phlebotomy competency
- Experience working in GP practices
- Women’s Health experience
- Experience supporting long-term condition or prevention clinics
- ECG or AF screening experience
