Spanish Caravan is one of Liverpool city centre’s most unique and well-loved bars. We’re a Spanish-inspired venue in a prime A1 location, known for great drinks, great atmosphere, strong attention to detail and a genuinely cool, well-thought-out feel.
We’re now looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team and help us keep pushing standards forward.
We are also open to taking on a strong Supervisor who is ready for the next step, provided they have the right attitude, experience and commitment to high standards.
This role would suit someone who has solid hospitality experience, takes pride in the details, and understands that a great bar is built on consistency, cleanliness, organisation and strong service standards.
The Role
As Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor, you’ll support the management team in the day-to-day running of the venue. You’ll be hands-on during service, help lead the team, maintain high standards across the bar, and make sure the venue is clean, organised and ready to trade at its best every day.
This is not just a “stand behind the bar” role. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership, spot what needs doing, and help create a team culture where standards matter.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisor, assistant manager or management position
- Strong bar and floor experience
- A real focus on cleaning, organisation and standards
- The ability to lead by example and motivate a team
- Good communication skills
- Confidence opening and closing a venue
- A calm, professional approach during busy services
- Pride in presentation, detail and customer experience
- Reliability, maturity and a strong work ethic
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the General Manager with daily operations
- Leading shifts and keeping service running smoothly
- Maintaining excellent cleaning and hygiene standards
- Ensuring the venue is organised, stocked and ready for service
- Training and supporting team members
- Managing opening and closing procedures
- Helping with stock control, ordering and wastage
- Ensuring guests receive great service every time
- Upholding company standards across the bar, floor and back-of-house areas
