Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to support our growing Finance Team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual looking to develop a career in finance within the wine and drinks industry. Full training will be provided, with excellent opportunities for growth within our expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Sales & Purchase Ledger: Processing supplier invoices, matching purchase orders, and reconciling supplier statements.
- Customer Accounts: Assisting with credit control, including sending statements, following up on outstanding payments, and handling account queries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Processing payments, reconciling transactions, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Expense Management: Assisting in processing employee expenses and company credit card reconciliations.
- General Finance Administration: Supporting the Finance Team with data entry, filing, and reporting tasks.
- Assisting Month-End Processes: Supporting with journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting as required.
Who We are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong numerical mindset and keen attention to detail.
- Confidence using computer systems, with experience in Microsoft Excel and finance software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or similar) being advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently within deadlines.
- Good communication skills for liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
- Prior experience in finance, accounts administration, or bookkeeping is desirable.
- An interest in the wine industry is a plus, but not required.
