Food & Beverage Assistant
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham
Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour (to be discussed at interview) + share of service charge (approx. £2,000 per year for full-time team members)
Hours: Approximately 30–40 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager, General Manager
Working with: Kitchen & Food and Beverage teams
As one of the North East’s prestigious 5-Red-Star hotels, Seaham Hall is seeking friendly, reliable and motivated Food & Beverage Assistants to join our team in The Dining Room. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, although full training will be provided

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to consistently delivering 5-star service

Knowledge of Simphony/Oracle systems is an advantage
-
Ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests, colleagues and management

A team player who can also work independently

Due to location and shift patterns, own transport is essential
Key Responsibilities

Deliver attentive, friendly service throughout the guest dining experience, responding to special requests

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas

Confidently upsell menu items including starters, desserts and beverages

Present yourself professionally at all times, well-groomed and in full uniform

Attend training sessions and develop strong menu knowledge to offer informed recommendations
