Solar Electrician – Domestic PV Installer
Location: Cardiff & South Wales
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 per year (depending on experience)

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team in Cardiff. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of domestic solar PV systems.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with AM2, strong domestic electrical experience, and proven experience working with solar PV installations.
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician with AM2 / AM2ED
- Strong background in domestic electrical installations
- Solar PV installation qualification
- Experience installing and commissioning domestic solar systems
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing qualification desirable
- Experience with inverters, batteries, consumer unit upgrades and PV protection systems
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
- Install domestic solar PV systems across Cardiff and surrounding areas
- Complete AC and DC electrical works
- Install inverters, batteries, isolators and protection equipment
- Carry out testing, commissioning and certification
- Diagnose and repair faults
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain high installation standards
