Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot vehicle problems effectively.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while working on vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are advantageous but not essential.
