Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman/woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical abilities and be comfortable performing various maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently but also as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues alike. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties
- Diagnose and resolve reactive maintenance issues promptly.
- Carry out general building repairs (joinery, plumbing, decorating).
- Perform basic electrical tasks.
- Maintain clear and accurate job sheets complete with photos and materials lists.
- Communicate professionally with residents and colleagues.
- Install LVT, vinyl and hardwood flooring.
- Carpet installation
- Execute full bathroom, shower room and kitchen refurbishments.
- Clearing property and furniture removals.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organisational skills, capable of maintaining an orderly workspace while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Multi‑skilled maintenance background (joinery/plumbing/building/electrical).
- A passion for carry out work to a high-quality standard is vital.
- Strong health & safety awareness.
- Enthusiastic approach to challenges.
- Full UK driving licence.
