Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier Driver to join our team. We would love the successful candidate to potentially live in West London (Uxbridge, Hayes, Southall, West Drayton, Heston, Isleworth, Ashford or Brentford) OR live in North West Surrey / Berkshire (Staines, Stanwell, Woking, Addlestone, Egham, Windsor, Datchet, Slough, Iver, or Byfleet). The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages to various Central London locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries promptly and in good condition.
Duties
- Drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver packages to designated locations. Collections & deliveries in Central London.
- Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including addresses and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery status.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including sorting and organising packages.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s licence; experience with commercial driving is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
- Experience working in Central London is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing high-quality service.
