- Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Prepare high-quality dishes in line with established recipes and customer expectations
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as necessary, and minimise waste through effective stock management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery
- Enforce food safety protocols and ensure all kitchen activities comply with relevant legislation

- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Excellent team management and leadership capabilities
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on quality presentation and flavour balance
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
- Hospitality industry awareness with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
