Lucy and Phil Limited is a growing Facilities Management, Construction and Property Services company delivering Cleaning, Facilities Management, Construction, Property Maintenance, Refurbishment, Removals, Waste Management and Specialist Services across London and the South East.
We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer & Tender Specialist to take ownership of the complete tender lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven bid writing experience who enjoys working independently and wants to play a key role in winning public and private sector contracts.
Working directly with the Directors, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, preparing compliant tender submissions, coordinating technical information, developing pricing submissions and producing high-quality bids that maximise our success rate.
This is a 20-hour per week position with genuine potential to become full-time as the business continues to grow.
Salary: £15.00–£30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
You will take ownership of the complete bid lifecycle, including:
- Searching and identifying suitable public and private sector tender opportunities.
- Monitoring procurement portals daily, including Delta eSourcing, Contracts Finder, Find a Tender Service, Atamis, Proactis, In-Tend, Fusion21 and other procurement platforms.
- Reviewing SQs, SSQs, PQQs, ITTs, DPS and Framework opportunities.
- Preparing Bid/No Bid recommendations.
- Managing the complete tender programme from opportunity to contract award.
- Writing high-quality, persuasive and compliant tender responses.
- Preparing executive summaries, quality responses and technical submissions.
- Completing pricing schedules in collaboration with the Directors.
- Preparing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) using Atlas or similar compliance software.
- Preparing mobilisation plans, quality plans and contract delivery proposals.
- Coordinating information with operations, commercial teams and subcontractors.
- Managing clarification questions and procurement correspondence.
- Uploading and submitting tenders through procurement portals.
- Maintaining the company's bid library, including policies, case studies, staff CVs, accreditations and supporting evidence.
- Reviewing client feedback and implementing continuous improvements to increase bid success rates.

- Experience using Atlas (or similar RAMS/compliance software).
- Excellent written English.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and tender documentation.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tender deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
- Commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
