A fantastic opportunity has opened up in a firm near Portsmouth for a keen practice-based accountant to join their team!
You will have your own office and the role will have a mixture of tax, accounts and secretarial duties. This includes accounts production, company filings, management accounts, personal tax, VAT returns and year end.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparation and submission of corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT returns
- Management of a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals
- Acting as day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining strong professional and trusted relationships
- Identifying technical issues, risks, and opportunities to add value for clients
- Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients across multiple industries
- Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work
- Assist with business advisory and planning work where required
- Liaise with partners on technical matters and present solutions to client queries
Salary:
Up to £32,000 - £42,000. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' UK accountancy practice experience
- Must be able to commute to the office location
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time office based role, Monday - Friday.
