Job Summary
We’re looking for a practical, reliable Repair Technician to join our small, family-owned, growing, coffee machine repair business. This is a part-time role (25 hours per week) based entirely in our repair workshop just off Gloucester Road, Bristol.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys fixing things, problem-solving, and learning a specialist trade. Training is provided, with genuine opportunities to progress within the company for the right person.
About Us
We specialise in domestic coffee machine servicing and repairs. As a growing, independent business, we pride ourselves on doing things properly, maintaining high standards, and creating a supportive, calm working environment. You’ll be part of a small ever-growing team where quality, accuracy, and pride in workmanship really matter.
The Role
You’ll be carrying out workshop-based repairs on domestic coffee machines, working through faults that range from common and repeatable to more unusual and technical issues. While we provide structured training and clear repair processes, this role also requires curiosity, initiative, and the ability to think problems through when a fault isn’t straightforward.
This position suits someone who enjoys understanding how things work and takes satisfaction in diagnosing and resolving issues properly rather than relying on quick fixes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing faults and repairing domestic coffee machines
- Carrying out servicing, cleaning, testing, and reassembly
- Following in-house repair processes while applying logical fault-finding skills
- Identifying and resolving non-standard or uncommon faults
- Keeping accurate repair records
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised workspace
- Working independently while contributing effectively to a small team
What We’re Looking For
- Some practical experience repairing, maintaining, or building things (professional or hands-on personal experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to fault finding
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and develop technical understanding
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when diagnosing issues
- Reliable, punctual, and organised
- Attention to detail and pride in doing work properly
- Full UK driving licence and ability to drive (desirable)
- Interest in coffee is a bonus, but not essential
Working Hours
- 25 hours per week
- Monday to Friday – 5 hours per day
- Workshop-based role (Gloucester Road, Bristol)
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly wage (depending on experience)
- Structured training with ongoing technical development
- Opportunity to progress and take on more responsibility over time
- Supportive, family-run working environment
- Development of a specialist, in-demand technical skill
- Staff discounts
If you enjoy fixing things, solving problems, and want to build a long-term role within a small, growing repair business — we’d love to hear from you.
