Overview
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Bar Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our bar area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the bar environment is spotless, organised, and welcoming for both staff and patrons. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work to contribute to a lively hospitality setting. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in their work and attention to detail. Cleaning must be complete before the bar opening.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise all bar surfaces, including counters, shelves, glassware and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, sinks, and waste disposal areas within the bar
- Sweep and mop outside terrace
- General housekeeping/tidy up of the garden
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all cleaning tools are properly stored after use
- Assist with organising stock areas to ensure easy access and safety compliance
- Follow health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Support the team during busy periods by maintaining a clean environment efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability and punctuality are essential qualities
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
