Registered Manager Therapeutic Children’s Home
Location: Sale, Greater Manchester Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience) Position: Full-Time / Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and regulatory-focused Registered Manager to lead a premier 3-bed therapeutic residential home for young people in Sale, Greater Manchester.
This role is ideal for a dedicated care leader who is genuinely committed to achieving positive, transformational outcomes for children while maintaining exemplary operational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operational Oversight: Drive daily operations within the home, leading, mentoring, and empowering a high-performing care team to deliver trauma-informed care.
- Regulatory Compliance & Ofsted Preparedness: Ensure full adherence to Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding frameworks, maintaining the highest standard of care and inspection readiness.
- Therapeutic Environment: Embed a compassionate, therapeutic, and child-centered culture tailored to the emotional and developmental needs of each young person.
- Placement & Multidisciplinary Coordination: Manage referrals and admissions, working in close partnership with local authorities, social workers, and clinical practitioners.
- Quality & Safeguarding Management: Oversee risk assessments, care plans, and safeguarding protocols to ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive living environment.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience: Proven track record as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
- Regulatory Expertise: Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks, Children’s Homes Regulations, and legislative requirements.
- Core Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, crisis management, and team-building capabilities driven by genuine care for young people's outcomes.
