Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary operations, and ensuring a smooth workflow. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen cleaning tasks to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with dishwashing, utensil cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure all areas of the kitchen are kept clean, organised, and safe in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Help with the replenishment of supplies and stock management as directed by senior staff.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with general hospitality duties.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and adhere to uniform policies at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or issues promptly to management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is advantageous.
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting will be beneficial.
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service is essential.
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop within the hospitality sector is highly valued.
