IBEX PR is a growing marketing and communications agency based in Tamworth, working with businesses, charities and membership organisations across the UK. We deliver a wide range of marketing services, including social media management, content creation, SEO, website management, Google Ads and PR.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Digital Marketing & Content Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in agency marketing, gaining hands-on experience across multiple industries while receiving ongoing support and training.
No two days are the same. You could be creating social media content for a national charity, writing website copy for a local business, carrying out keyword research, updating websites or providing general administrative support and responding to customer enquiries on behalf of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Social Media
- Create engaging social media content for a variety of clients.
- Design graphics and marketing assets.
- Write captions, blog articles and website content.
- Assist with planning and scheduling social media content calendars.
- Research industry trends and content ideas.
- Monitor engagement and support community management where required.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Carry out keyword research.
- Assist with on-page SEO improvements.
- Optimise website content for search engines.
- Update meta titles and descriptions.
- Monitor website performance using SEO tools.
- Support ongoing content marketing strategies.
Website & Digital Marketing
- Update websites with new content.
- Upload blogs, images and new pages.
- Assist with website quality checks.
- Support Google Ads and other digital marketing campaigns where required.
- Help maintain marketing databases and digital assets.
Administration & Business Support
- Respond to customer enquiries and emails for us & our clients.
- Assist with administrative tasks across the business, our clients and additional trading styles.
- Help maintain client documents, reports and marketing schedules.
- Carry out research projects and general office administration.
- Support the wider team with day-to-day client account management.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about digital marketing, creative and confident in producing high-quality written content. Someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Who is comfortable learning new software and systems, communicates professionally with clients, and enjoys working as part of a small team where a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important as experience.
Essential Skills
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- A willingness to learn and develop.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable Skills
Whilst not essential, experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- WordPress, Shopify and other CMS
- Social media management platforms
- Basic SEO
- Google Analytics & Google Ads
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Basic HTML/CSS
- AI briefing and content editing
- Creative & journalistic writing
