Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team at heatingsmart Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing gas systems within commercial premises. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of commercial gas systems to ensure optimal operation and safety.
- Install, repair, and service gas appliances, boilers, and associated equipment in accordance with legal regulations and safety standards.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform mechanical tasks such as assembly, disassembly, and modification of components as required.
- Carry out heavy lifting and manoeuvre large or bulky equipment safely during installations or repairs.
- Undertake plumbing tasks related to gas systems, ensuring leak testing and compliance with safety protocols.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out and report any issues or hazards promptly.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial gas engineering or related mechanical fields.
- Competent in welding, carpentry, plumbing, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of complex systems within commercial environments.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for measurements and calculations related to installations or repairs.
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling techniques.
- Valid commercial driving licence is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of assembly processes relevant to gas systems or related equipment is advantageous.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
