Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team, in our pack away setting at Silver End, Term time only, In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn, explore, and grow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in early childhood education while working within a dynamic and supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Deliver high standards of childcare in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities that promote development across all areas including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in childcare and early years education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and health information.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, safeguarding procedures, and nursery regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification or equivalent in childcare or early childhood education.
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to oversee daily operations confidently.
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
- Ability to work flexibly within the nursery schedule.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for nurturing young children's growth and learning.
