ZAK'S Fish & Grill – Milton Keynes Pay: £13.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced Peri Peri / Chicken Grill Chef to join our team at ZAK'S Fish & Grill. We need someone who is confident working on a commercial grill and can produce consistently cooked chicken during busy service periods.
Experience working for a busy peri peri, grilled chicken or similar takeaway/restaurant would be a strong advantage.
Hours
Full-time position 40–60+ hours available per week Up to 12-hour shifts available Flexible rota Additional shifts available for anyone wanting more hours Weekend availability required
Main Duties
Grilling peri peri chicken Cooking chicken burgers, wings and other grilled products Operating a commercial chargrill Managing multiple orders during busy periods Ensuring chicken is cooked safely and consistently Following correct cooking temperatures and food safety procedures Preparing chicken and grill ingredients Maintaining portion control Reducing food waste Keeping the grill section clean and organised Cleaning and maintaining the grill area
What We're Looking For
Previous peri peri, grilled chicken or commercial grill experience preferred Confident using a commercial chargrill Good understanding of chicken cooking and food safety Fast and organised during busy periods Reliable and punctual Able to work independently and as part of a team
