Role Description
The Catering Assistant role is a part-time, on-site position based in Ewloe. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with food preparation, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards, serving food to customers, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The Catering Assistant will also handle basic communication with customers and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Food Preparation and understanding of hygiene standards
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
- Experience in Food Service, including serving meals and maintaining food quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding food safety standards
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is a plus

Duties
- Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering areas, including tables, utensils, and equipment
- Support the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables and serving stations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Replenish supplies as needed during service periods
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless catering experiences
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is preferred
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles will be advantageous
- Familiarity with guest services within hotels or similar establishments is beneficial
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of service
- Experience with food serving and event support roles will be highly regarded
