Overview
The HSE Manager will play a critical role in managing and overseeing health and safety practices on a live construction project, including the implementation and management of our electronic management system. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations comply with all health and safety regulations, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The HSE Manager will provide support and guidance to the client, contractors and workers, ensuring a safe and compliant project.
Responsibilities;
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislations including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, including responsibilities, specifically the discharging of the Principle Contractor role.
- Develop and maintain all relevant project documentation, including but not limited too Construction Phase Plan (CPP), emergency plan and fire risk assessment.
- Coordinate the work activities of contractors through permit to work and on-site meetings.
- Ensure the Hunter Standards are being applied as per the HSE Managers routine and Hunter Safety Management System.
- Provide support and guidance to clients on health and safety matters, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
- Proactively manage and influence safety culture across the site by leading as an example and rewarding positive safety performance through safety recognition programmes.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough reporting and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Support acquisition of new projects by understanding all the services the company offers and demonstrating a passion for Hunter Safety Group's values.
- Manage and monitor the HSE Support, if applicable.
- Support other team members by sharing your knowledge and expertise.
- Provide support to our internal business functions and processes.
- Fulfil the role of HSE Support when required.
- Consistently achieve against agreed delivery results, to therefore support wider business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and reasonable management requests.
Desirable criteria/experience to perform role;
- NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction
- Experience working within a construction or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience as a HSE Manager
- Be willing to travel across the UK and/or EU to perform this role
Work Location: In person
Pay: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
