Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting our accounting processes. Duties
- Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software using Xero
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
- Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organised financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members effectively
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred but not mandatory
