TMS Electrical Contractors is an established, NICEIC-approved electrical contractor delivering quality installations across the commercial, industrial, domestic and public sectors. We're a tight, experienced team that takes pride in doing things properly - and we're looking for a Site Supervisor to help us deliver our growing project pipeline to a high standard.
The Role
Working closely with our Contracts Manager, you'll take day-to-day ownership of live electrical projects across Sussex and Surrey - keeping them safe, on programme, and on budget. You'll lead engineering teams of typically 2–6 on site, set the standard for workmanship, and be the on-the-ground point of contact that keeps a job running smoothly.
This is a hands-on supervisory role with genuine scope to develop. If you've got the drive, we'll back you to enhance your qualifications and broaden your experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on commercial and public-sector projects
- Lead, motivate and manage site teams of 2–6 engineers
- Work alongside the Contracts Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, workmanship and site housekeeping
- Liaise with clients, main contractors and other trades on site
- Monitor progress against programme and flag issues early
- Ensure works are carried out in line with BS 7671 and project specifications
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent)
- ECS Gold Card
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) — or equal and approved
- Proven experience supervising or leading teams on commercial electrical projects
- Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current wiring regulations
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) — training available for the right applicant
- Experience working within the public sector and on framework projects
