Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Hamworthy, Poole (Please note: this role is based on-site)
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday with three breaks per day.Every other Saturday morning.
Salary: Up to £55,000 per year guaranteed wage not OTE
(unlike main dealers offering OTE then moving the goal post every month)
Key Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)
- Full UK Driving License
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician in a garage or dealership environment
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Experience working to high quality and efficiency standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our team at Hamworthy Car Centre in Poole. Unlike many garages, we believe in rewarding our technicians with a strong guaranteed salary rather than unrealistic bonus schemes with constantly moving targets.
The successful candidate can earn up to £55,000 per year guaranteed, while working in a supportive and professional environment within a well-established family-run business.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out RAC inspections
- Perform Used Vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspections (UDPI) to the highest standard
- Test, diagnose, and resolve vehicle faults
- Work on a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems
- Inspect vehicle components for wear and damage
- Repair and replace parts as required
- Work closely with colleagues to meet workshop deadlines and maintain quality standards
