Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman/woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks. Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and modifications
- Conduct roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure structural integrity
- Perform construction painting to enhance property aesthetics and protection
- Handle plumbing repairs such as leak fixes, pipe replacements, and fixture installations
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying, pointing, and concrete repairs
- Undertake welding tasks for metal fabrication and repairs
- Apply electrical experience for basic wiring, fixture replacements, and troubleshooting
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various tasks
- Fabricate custom components or modifications as required for specific projects
- Inspect work areas to identify issues and ensure safety compliance
- Maintain organised workspaces and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for daily tasks
- Ability to perform fabrication work with precision and attention to detail
- Own your own tools.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs and maintenance tasks
- Valid relevant trade certifications or licences are advantageous but not mandatory
- A commitment to safety standards and adherence to health and safety regulations
