Are you commercially sharp, technically minded, and a great communicator?
At Sourcing City, we are the originators, not the imitators. Established in the early 2000s, we are the UK & Ireland’s number-one trade hub for the promotional merchandise industry. We help hundreds of companies thrive through innovative e-commerce and sourcing solutions -including our newly launched AI search tools.
We don't employ hundreds of people. Instead, we build streamlined, specialist teams where your voice is genuinely heard, your results are incentivised, and micro-management doesn't exist.
The Role
Joining our specialist Distributor Services team, you’ll manage the full sales, support, and renewal lifecycle for your own portfolio of clients. You’ll work autonomously but collaboratively, balancing proactive commercial growth with day-to-day technical account management.
You will also get a great change of pace by occasionally visiting customers, delivering on-site training, and running the Sourcing City stand at our major trade event (Merchandise World). Travel and overnight stays are fully covered (though sadly, no company private jet just yet).
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage, Grow & Identify New Accounts: Act as the main point of contact for distributor clients, running regular, check-ins to secure renewals, research new prospects and uncover upsell opportunities.
- Bridge the Tech Gap: Liaise directly with our tech developers to build and manage client websites, and join weekly developer scrum calls to track progress.
- Deliver Daily Support: Answer incoming client queries via phone, email, and live chat (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm), while managing subscriptions in our CRM.
- Shape Strategy: Attend monthly sales meetings to collaborate on future sales, marketing, and brand strategies.
What we’re looking for:
- A Technical Mindset: Comfort navigating CRM software and a strong desire to learn website/e-commerce structures (previous e-commerce experience is a massive bonus).
- Strong Commercial & People Skills: The ability to build genuine relationships, handle rate discussions smoothly, and communicate clearly.
- Agility: The drive to balance proactive sales targets with reactive daily customer support.
