Paralegal – Post-Completion and Land RegistryTemporary | 3 to 6 months | Birmingham (office based) | £25,000 – £28,000 pro rata | 2 positions available
We are looking for two Paralegals with experience in residential conveyancing to join our post-completion team on an initial temporary basis of three to six months, with a genuine opportunity to extend or transition to a permanent role for the right candidates.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your post-completion and Land Registry expertise within a busy, supportive team handling a broad and varied caseload.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and resolving Land Registry requisitions, progressing registration applications, and ensuring post-completion matters are dealt with efficiently and within required timescales.
What you will be doing

Reviewing and responding to Land Registry requisitions across a range of residential conveyancing transactions

Managing first registrations, transfers of part, lease registrations, and applications involving complex title issues

Liaising with lenders, clients, developers, management companies, and HM Land Registry to obtain information and resolve requisitions

Identifying and resolving title defects and registration issues

Monitoring application deadlines to prevent cancellation of applications

Managing cancelled and rejected applications including restoration requests and fresh applications where necessary

Maintaining lender security by ensuring registrations are completed promptly and accurately

Assisting with the reduction of existing post-completion and registration backlogs

Providing technical support and guidance on Land Registry requirements and registration processes
What we are looking for

Practical experience in residential conveyancing with a focus on post-completion and Land Registry work

Strong working knowledge of HM Land Registry procedures and requirements

Experience dealing with requisitions and registration applications

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent organisational and communication skills

A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines
A formal qualification (Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or equivalent) is welcome but not essential. We are primarily interested in demonstrable practical experience.
