Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Duties
- Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems in new and existing buildings
- Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs efficiently
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Using hand tools and power tools to carry out installation and maintenance tasks
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
- Conducting routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues before they escalate
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician within a commercial or industrial setting
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and testing equipment
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of wiring methods, circuit design, and safety standards
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Installation JIB Gold Card, equivalent are highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
