Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and organised Aftersales & Vehicle Preparation Coordinator to join our busy used car dealership. This is a hands-on role combining customer aftersales support with vehicle preparation. You will help ensure vehicles are prepared efficiently for sale and customer collection, while also assisting customers with any aftersales issues following purchase. You will work closely with the sales team, mechanics, garages, MOT stations, bodyshops, valeters and suppliers to keep vehicles moving through the preparation and repair process. Responsibilities Coordinate the preparation of vehicles ready for sale and customer collection. Arrange MOTs, servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs and inspections. Identify and follow up outstanding preparation work on vehicles. Liaise with mechanics, garages, MOT stations, bodyshops, valeters and parts suppliers. Chase ongoing jobs to ensure vehicles are completed without unnecessary delays. Prioritise sold vehicles that need to be prepared for customer handover. Assist with checking vehicles before they are advertised or handed over. Deal with customer aftersales enquiries and reported vehicle faults. Arrange diagnostics and repairs for customer vehicles where required. Liaise with warranty companies and external repairers. Keep customers updated regarding the progress of repairs. Maintain accurate records of preparation work, repairs, costs and customer communication. Obtain repair quotes and help ensure preparation and repair costs remain reasonable. Work closely with the sales and preparation teams to ensure vehicles are ready on time. Help maintain a high standard of vehicle presentation and customer service. Requirements Previous experience within the motor trade is preferred. Experience within a used car dealership, aftersales, vehicle preparation, workshop or service department would be an advantage. Basic understanding of vehicle servicing, MOTs and common mechanical issues. Confident communicating with customers, garages and suppliers. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Able to manage multiple vehicles and jobs at the same time. Comfortable chasing garages and suppliers to ensure work is completed promptly. Good telephone and customer-service skills. Basic computer and administrative skills. Full UK driving licence preferred.
