Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. This position is essential for providing high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Bussing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and presentable.
- Support banquet services by preparing and setting up food stations.
- Handle food safely and follow all health regulations regarding food storage and preparation.
- Assist with cooking tasks as needed, ensuring high standards of quality are met.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Perform general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience in bussing, serving, or catering is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on hospitality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various kitchen roles as needed.
