Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time
Location: In person
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (30-minute lunch)
About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Account Administrator to join our busy team.
You’ll work closely with our Customer Account Managers, helping to look after our existing customers and making sure things run smoothly from the initial order through to delivery and beyond.
It’s a varied role, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, hardworking and keen to learn. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a busy environment, picking up new systems quickly and getting on with things without always needing to be told what to do.
There’s a lot of detail involved in the role, so accuracy and attention to detail are really important. Good Excel skills would also be a big advantage, as you’ll be working with spreadsheets, reports and customer information regularly.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude – someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, is happy to get stuck in and enjoys being part of a team.
What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with our Customer Account Managers to help with the day-to-day running of customer accounts.
- Answering customer calls and emails and making sure customers receive a friendly and helpful service.
- Dealing with customer queries and following issues through to make sure they are resolved.
- Processing and checking orders, making sure information is correct and up to date.
- Helping with invoices, collections and other customer administration.
- Setting up new customers, including their MUMS (Mathias Uniform Management System) website.
- Supporting customers with MUMS and helping with basic training when needed.
- Helping to deal with complaints, returns and collections.
- Keeping customer brochures, order forms and information up to date.
- Helping with customer reports, spreadsheets and general administration.
- Using Excel to manage and check information and produce reports.
- Making sure tasks are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Helping out with other jobs when needed – we all pitch in as part of the team.
- Attending meetings and accurately recording notes and actions
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to know everything when you start. We’ll show you how things work, but we do need someone who is keen to learn and willing to put the effort in.
Ideally, you’ll be:
- Hardworking, reliable and self-motivated.
- Organised and able to manage your own workload.
- A quick learner who is comfortable picking up new systems and processes.
- Naturally accurate with a good eye for detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel – good Excel skills are highly desirable for this role.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment and dealing with several things at once.
- Friendly, professional and confident when speaking to customers and colleagues.
- Someone who uses their own initiative and doesn’t always need to be asked to do something.
- A good communicator with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Positive and willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
Previous customer service or administration experience would be useful, but we’re more interested in finding the right person with a good work ethic and the willingness to learn.
The team
You’ll be joining a friendly team in a busy environment where everyone has a part to play. There will be plenty to learn, but also plenty of opportunity to take on more responsibility as you become familiar with the role.
If you’re someone who likes to keep busy, enjoys getting things right and wants to work somewhere you can learn and develop, we’d be really interested in hearing from you.
