About the Role
We are looking for a Trade & Export Development Manager to join Glasgow Prestwick Airport and play a key role in growing Scotland's international trade connections.
This is a proactive, commercially focused role, working with Scottish and UK businesses, airlines, freight forwarders and industry partners to identify new export opportunities and connect products with international markets.
A key focus will be developing sustainable outbound cargo opportunities, helping strengthen existing airline services, support future routes and grow Glasgow Prestwick Airport's position as an international cargo hub.
What You'll Do

Identify and develop new Scottish and UK export opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with exporters, manufacturers, airlines, freight forwarders and trade organisations.
- Connect export demand with airline capacity and international markets.
- Develop commercially viable cargo opportunities that support existing and potential new routes.
- Represent Glasgow Prestwick Airport at trade events and industry forums in the UK and internationally.
- Turn opportunities into sustainable cargo growth and revenue.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong commercial and business development experience who can build relationships, spot opportunities and turn them into results.

Strong commercial and business development experience.
- Excellent networking, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing B2B relationships and delivering commercial outcomes.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and representing the Airport externally.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in areas such as air cargo, aviation, logistics, international trade, import/export, manufacturing or international business development would be advantageous.
Fluent Mandarin Chinese is desirable, and additional language skills would be advantageous.
Additional Information
The role will require regular travel throughout the UK and internationally to support customer engagement, business development activities and industry events.
