We are looking for a part-time assistant to join our Admin Team. Hours of work are 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday with one hour for lunch (29 hours per week). Previous admin experience would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
Job Purpose: Provide a high standard of administration support to the firm and assist your Manager as required.
Principal Duties
- Daily Morning Post: open post, date stamp and leave in trays for a Partner to check. Afternoon Post: prepare post/recorded delivery/special delivery for Royal Mail collection
- Franking Machine (topping up, reporting faults etc)
- Deliveries by hand (local or distance)
- Photocopying/Scanning
- Ensure copiers are fully stocked with paper and areas are kept tidy
- Changing toners on all printers when required
- Binding/Laminating
- Provide back-up support for reception when requested
- Stationery (stock checks, ordering, keeping stationery areas tidy)
- Hand sanitisers – check stock and keep topped up
- Coffee Machines: keep stock checks to ensure supplies are always available, replenish and clean daily, report any faults.
- Set up meeting rooms for internal meetings as and when required
- Shopping for general requirements when required
Additonal Duties as directed by Team Leaders within the Administration Department, may include;
- Deeds: booking in/out
- Wills: booking in/out
- File storage/retrieval
- Monitor the admin inbox and colour code/flag jobs you complete
- Preparing files for closing
- Archiving

Attend any specific training or refresher course or firm or departmental meeting, as and when required by the firm
Follow any laid down security/health and safety procedures
Skills Required
Ability to work under pressure, ability to prioritise and be organised,good communication skills,educated to a good standard, good understanding of filing systems, must be a team player, highly motivatedand be able tomanage time effectively
Pay: £16,361.80-£19,166.68 per year
