At The Bevern Trust, we’re passionate about improving the lives of people with complex disabilities. We’re looking for a friendly, caring and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook to join our team at Bevern View.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who loves preparing fresh, nutritious food and wants their cooking to make a real difference to the people we support.
About the role:
As our Cook, you will:
- Prepare delicious, healthy and varied meals for our residents.
- Support menu planning and ensure individual dietary needs are met.
- Follow agreed diet plans, including those relating to medical, health or cultural requirements.
- Help manage online food shopping and work within agreed budgets.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with Food Standards Agency requirements.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a catering or cook role is ideal but not essential. We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Enjoy cooking fresh, nutritious meals.
- Can plan and prepare meals confidently.
- Understand the importance of individual dietary requirements.
- Are comfortable using a computer and placing online orders.
- Have a good understanding of food safety standards.
- Have catering, food safety or nutrition qualifications — an advantage, but not essential.
- Have your own transport, as this is essential due to our rural location.
