English Teacher
A nurturing, independent SEMH school in Wythenshawe are looking for qualified English Teacher to join their close-knit school.
This is a unique opportunity to join this well-established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for a Teacher with experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils, providing a broad and balanced curriculum, to promote engagement and individual progression.
Job description:
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons
- Supporting pupils, aged 11-16yrs with SEMH, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Alongside the curriculum, providing emotional regulation and sensory support
- Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture-focused learning
- Tracking progress and contribute to EHCP processes
- Working hours: 8:15am - 4pm
- Starting asap
- Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (DOE)
Person specification:
- Experience of teaching, preferably in a SEN setting
- QTS or QTLS
- Experience of adapting teaching to various needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude
