Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in hospitality and culinary arts. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering high-quality food preparation and production. The Kitchen Manager will lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Oversee food preparation and production processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Develop menus in collaboration with chefs, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Address any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position within the hospitality industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of menu planning, cost control, and inventory management is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering outstanding culinary experiences.
- This will be based on a 40 Hour week including evenings and weekends
