Business Development Manager – £35,000-£40,000 base plus bonus OTE – Monday-Friday 9-5
ACR is working with a growing logistics business that has built a strong reputation through service quality, operational data, and long-term customer relationships. Due to continued growth and increased demand, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to strengthen their national sales capability. This is a newly created role with genuine autonomy and long-term earning potential.
As a Business Development Manager, you will take full ownership of your own customer accounts, managing the entire sales cycle from first conversation through to retained, profitable business. This Business Development Manager role is measured on results rather than activity, with a clear focus on profitable, retained logistics accounts.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will:
- Identify, win and convert new B2B logistics customers nationwide
- Manage inbound and outbound sales leads
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact to conversion
- Price and structure deals in line with agreed margin requirements
- Retain, develop and grow your own customer accounts
- Monitor account performance and identify upsell opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines and forecasts
- Work closely with Sales Operations and Operations teams to ensure service delivery
- Be accountable for profit generated from your owned accounts
The Requirements
- Proven B2B sales experience with full sales-cycle ownership
- Confident phone-led selling and strong objection handling
- Commercial awareness with the ability to price and structure profitable deals
- Experience working to revenue or profit-based targets
- CRM experience with strong attention to data accuracy
- Logistics, transport or same-day courier experience is desirable
- Resilient, organised and self-motivated approach
