We are seeking a reliable and passionate Part-Time Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in producing high-quality dishes, maintaining impeccable hygiene standards, and ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring all dishes match recipe specifications, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Mise en Place: Complete daily prep lists, including chopping ingredients, butchering meat, making sauces, and organizing workstations before service begins.
- Health & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and safety across all kitchen activities. Adhere to proper food-handling procedures and temperature regulations.
- Stock Management: Help receive, check, and store deliveries correctly. Assist with stock rotation and organize the safe storage of ingredients.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure workstations, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized throughout the shift and at closing.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6 to 12 months of experience in a similar commercial kitchen role.
- Certifications: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and Allergen Awareness certification. (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery is highly desirable).
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on the venue's requirements.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
