Are you a Litigation Paralegal looking to develop your career within a supportive and growing Dispute Resolution team?
We are working with a reputable law firm in Chester who are looking for a proactive and organised Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in litigation to gain exposure to a varied caseload, strengthen their technical skills and work alongside experienced legal professionals.
You will support fee earners across a range of complex and engaging disputes, assisting with matters throughout the full lifecycle of a case, from preparing court documents and bundles through to client communication and attending hearings.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting fee earners with a variety of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
- Preparing court documents, correspondence and legal bundles.
- Assisting with new enquiries and progressing matters efficiently.
- Attending meetings, mediations and court hearings to take accurate notes.
- Providing client updates and drafting follow-up correspondence.
- Liaising with clients, courts and third parties.
- Managing case administration and maintaining accurate records.
- Using initiative to help progress cases and support the wider team.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- At least 1 year’s experience within Litigation or Dispute Resolution.
- Exposure to areas such as commercial disputes, contract disputes, property litigation, partnership/shareholder disputes or intellectual property matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using case management systems.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
