About the role:
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and hardworking Teaching Assistant to support children both across a classroom setting, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis where needed. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to both teachers and children, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment to promote academic excellence. The successful applicant should also have strong verbal and written communication skills as this is a vital part of the role and working with colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist staff and the class teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons.
- General classroom management as well as behaviour management.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who need additional support.
- Supervise classroom activities and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching resources, display boards, and activity marking.
- Support students with Special Educational Needs within mainstream.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote school ethics and values.
- Follow the UK curriculum and provide academic support to students.

What's needed:
- Previous experience working with children and/or in education settings.
- A passion for working with children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge or experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on an individual basis.
- A proactive and positive attitude and approach towards your work.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of the UK curriculum, with GCSE's in both Maths and English.
