The Role
TW Group (South Wales) LTD are seeking a qualified and reliable Electrician to join our growing Solar and Electrical Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of a range of domestic and commercial projects in accordance with current regulations and company standards.
The successful candidate will work across a variety of projects including:
- Social housing maintenance and upgrades
- Solar PV and battery storage installations
- Electrical upgrades within refurbishment projects
- Testing and inspection programmes
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding
Key Responsibilities
· Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in domestic, commercial and industrial settings
· Carry out electrical testing duties such as EICR's, EIC's, MWC's and PAT testing
- Respond to callouts and breakdowns, undertaking remedial repairs and replacements.
- Install Solar PV and Battery storage systems.
- Provide reactive and proactive support to our Roofing and Construction Division.
- Identify and report electrical faults, safety concerns and improvement opportunities through the company reporting systems.
- Occasionally support teammates outside your core discipline.
· Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
· Work in accordance with health and safety regulations
· Liaise professionally with clients and line managers
Essential Requirements
· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
· AM2 qualification
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
· ECS/CSCS Card
· Proven experience as a qualified electrician
· Full UK driving licence
· L3 Inspection & Testing Qualification, such as 2391 or 2394/5 (or equivalent)
Desirable (but not essential)
· Solar PV + BESS qualified and experienced (desirable)
· EV Charging qualified and experienced (desirable)
· IPAF certification
· PASMA certification
- Experience supervising apprentices
- First Aid certification
- Experience with housing association work
