Job summary
We have a great opportunity for a orthodontic nurse to join our busy and friendly team at Bhandal Dental Practice. This is a full time position working Monday - Friday and Saturday mornings.
Main duties of the job
You will:
- To provide comprehensive support to the clinical staff in all aspect of orthodontic treatment and dental surgery management.
- The preparation of clinical areas including instrument care and management, cross infection control, managing equipment and materials as required.
You have:
- Full GDC registration
- Hold a Certificate of Dental Nursing or equivalent NVQ
- Experience of dental nursing
Job responsibilities
Assisting Orthodontic Clinical staff in all relevant aspects of Orthodontic treatment for patients.
Responsible for decontamination of instruments and equipment.
Aid in taking of patient records including photography, height recording and other duties as required.
Provide guidance and instruction to patients concerning Orthodontic treatment and maintenance of Orthodontic appliances.
Taking phone calls when appropriate from patients where advice and / reassurance is sought.
