Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications to patients
- Prepare and package medications accurately and efficiently
- Label and organize medication containers
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Follow proper procedures for medication storage and handling
- Provide excellent customer service to patients
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy technician certification preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and record keeping
This position requires a responsible individual with a strong understanding of medication administration. The dispensing assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
