Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our team as a Van Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely arrivals and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your driving skills within a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics and warehouse activities. A valid Van driver licence and previous delivery or commercial driving experience are essential for this position.
We are offering Flexible hours to suit both parties , ensuring our clients can get their orders on time , the suitable candidate must be available betwen 8.30 -4pm at least four days a week.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner, ensuring accurate order fulfilment
- Assist with loading and unloading items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks to ensure optimal operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably within a commercial or logistics environment
- Valid Van driver licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, demonstrating safe driving practices over long distances or in busy environments
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly involving heavy lifting or manual handling tasks
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules or routes
