We are looking for an experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, providing exceptional care and support to our residents during night shifts.
We are a Residential/Dementia care Home based in Salford with a passion and dedication to providing high quality, person-centred care, supporting each of our residents’ individual needs.
Hours: 22 hours contracted hours per week plus overtime.

The successful candidate will have:
- Authorisation to work in the UK and currently be living in the country
- A current NVQ L2 or equivalent or be currently working towards this qualification
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in care
- Have hand on experience in the supervision of care staff
Senior Care Assistant responsibilities include
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of Care Plans and to ensure that these are followed and evaluated at regular intervals.
- Review entries made in care plans by junior staff
- Assist with the induction of new staff members.
- Assist with the training of all grades of staff where appropriate and identify any training which staff would find beneficial.
- Maintain effective communications with residents and relatives and involve them in all decisions about their care.
- Liaise with all care professionals as part of an effective multi – disciplinary approach to care.
- Mentor staff and act as a role model through their work, approach and professional behaviour.
- Carry out supervision with an identified group of staff
- Identify risks involved in work activities ( in relation to both service users and staff) and undertake them in a way that manages the risks.
- Use and encourage others to adopt appropriate infection control procedures.
