Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Huntingdon House School – Ashby de la Zouch
Huntingdon House School is a brand-new, small independent school for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), opening soon in the heart of Ashby de la Zouch. Funded by local authorities, we will provide a highly personalised education for a maximum of 10 students aged 11–16, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Our students are likely to have learning difficulties, language and communication needs and/or Autism, and most will be working within Key Stages 1 and 2 of the National Curriculum. We are a nurturing, creative and highly collaborative school that places well-being at the centre of everything we do.
We are now seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team as we prepare to open.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with the Special Needs Teacher and wider staff team to deliver personalised support that helps each student achieve their potential.

A flexible and creative approach is important, as our timetable is responsive to the needs of our students and designed to promote engagement, confidence and well-being.
Collaboration is central to our ethos. You will contribute to planning discussions, share your observations and ideas, and take part in regular timetabled sessions for reflection, assessment and professional dialogue.
